PLC – Yume Kazaguruma & LOVE IS DEAD
Psycho le Cému are a cosplay band that dressed up as characters rather than the goth/visual-kei style that many other bands of their genre did. They were extremely successful but in 2005 lead singer Daishi was caught with stimulants in his system and he was arrested for drug possession. The band then announced that they would be going on hiatus to which they are still ‘on hiatus’ today. Nothing has ever been stated that the band had officially disbanded despite the lengthy amount of time they have been apart. The latest news on the grapevine, however, is that the band will be performing live together in June/July this year. Whether it will spark a reformation of the band or not is anyone’s guess.

Could this be a new post?
Why yes, yes it could… >_>
I know its been a while since I last posted and I’m not going to go into any details about what has been happening the past few months (hear’s a big ‘yay’ from everyone who visits the site) so I’ll just cut to the chase. I’m thinking of doing a bit of sharing here. Mainly JRock/Visual-Kei stuff. I’ve learned a lot of blogs have been doing this for a while (namely european sites) and have been quite popular. Not that that’s what I’m aiming at here, those blogs focus on new stuff being released whereas I can only offer stuff I’ve already got. This will mainly be stuff I own, CDs I’ve bought, but the bulk will be mainly releases that are no longer available to buy. Doesn’t mean to say you shouldn’t support the artists themselves (if they’re still in the music biz that is) but it will mean that you get to hear earlier stuff that you may have missed from some great bands and artists. The GazettE – Burial Applicant
A new PV popped up for The GazettE recently, though I don’t believe its for a new single, rather its another promotional video for their recently released album. The song is titled “Burial Applicant” and is a fairly heavy song. Actually its fairly mixed up the song, a few slow melodic tunes, then suddenly a heavy guitar, and then straight into furious drums with Ruki screaming the lyrics out and then it drops back to the slow melodic sound again. Its a bit all over the place, but its the type of sound that GazettE often produce.
The PV for the song is fairly dark and brooding. It switches from its main story over to the band, dressed in black in a dark area that is only lit up occasionally by lighting trying to flash at the crucial points of the song as if it were lightening. The story side of it, which is where we get the darkness of this PV, kind of reminds me of a few US groups who used to do a lot of music videos like this too.
It starts out as a mum and dad celebrate their son’s birthday, however something isn’t quite right. While the parents are acting all lovey dovey, the kid is getting the feeling that his parent’s enthusiasm is not entirely due to celebrating his birthday. We see his mum give him a box which he opens up to reveal a photo of him and his parents, however his face in the photo has been scribbled out. Next dear old dad suddenly produces a rifle and pretends to shoot his son with it before he hands it over. They also give him this pop-up book which has imagery of the boy being killed by his parents (no photos were used, just cut-out figures that represented them) and the words scrawled across a page saying “DIE FOR ME”. We then skip across to another part, which seems to be the more ‘real world’ part of the story. Both parents are in the woods arguing, it seems that they have either accidentally killed their son, or deliberately killed him. Whichever way it happened, the two argue until finally we see them carrying the body bag out of the truck and dumping it in the middle of the forest floor where they begin to bury it. There’s also imagery thrown in of the boy walking around loading the rifle and that he is the one who kills his parents, not the other way around. Either way its obvious that they’re not a happy family!
Great video clip, awesome song, but I am biased since they’re one of my favourite VK bands ^_^b
