Long Time, No Post

Wow its 2009 and I haven’t posted yet! Actually I haven’t posted in a while lol. Well I felt like doing an update since I’d spent this whole long weekend doing updates for my other two websites so I thought “Why not! I’ll post a bit of news on the ol’ blog too!”

So last time I posted it was November. In December I was due to take about 5 weeks leave from work which I definitely looked forward too. Unfortunately my leave began the same day kids started their school holidays and my boss was a bit concerned that everything might not be up to date or sorted because the last few weeks leading up to the holidays were pretty hectic. So I agreed to stay for another two days (maximum) to make sure everything was up to date before I went on leave. Thus my boss owes me a couple of days leave! He agreed to me taking one day at the beginning of the week I was due to return (instead of coming back on a Monday I returned on a Tuesday). Read the rest of this entry »

Creation of an MG-Gundam: Part 01

I very rarely post so much in this blog but this is something different. I’ve decided to keep a blog-log of the creation of my brand new Gundam, which arrived today! :) Basically each night that I work on the MG, I’ll have my trust little camera with me which I’ll use to take pics of the model at various stages of being built. Seems a bit over the top but meh, who cares!

Today I arrived at work and checked the status of the parcel via one of two tracking sites. It still hadn’t changed from the week before so I checked the second tracking site and it indicated the parcel had arrived in town yesterday (August 31, 2008). It also had notes that it had been scheduled for delivery and that early this morning they had organised a courier to pick up for delivery. So I spent probably the bulk of the day checking the status of the parcel every now and then lol and it was around 3pm when the tracking site updated itself and lo and behold the parcel had been delivered! I’m just glad someone was home when that happened! Read the rest of this entry »

Gidgetal Shot #004

I grow cats in my garden.

Gidget always finds a spot that’s unusual to spend her nap time in, whether its an empty bookshelf, a cardboard box or a planter box, so long as she can fit into it comfortably (or sometimes not so comfortably) then she’s quite happy.

She is looking a heck of a lot better now though her thyroid is still huge. We have the option of having it removed surgically but it is an expensive procedure. If she goes downhill again then we’ll rethink the surgery otherwise we’re going to stick with her medication for now. She doesn’t seem to mind and she’s happier because she gets fed more times now than she used to so for her its a big plus!
